Pent, apex, arbour, forward, backwards, as long as the structure itself is strong and sound you can pretty much have whichever roof style you prefer.
We have used lead, tiles, cedar overlap, cedar shingles, felt, and even an almost flat roof where it is being used for a living roof log store.
