I love the way our customer has added lights to their log store. There is a tiny little sensible bit of me is thinking that the trailing plant growing across will make it hard to retreat the roof every year, but it is outweighed by how this is going to look so pretty in the summer with the flowers and lights so I'm ignoring it.

Different roof styles on our log stores.
Pent, apex, arbour, forward, backwards, as long as the structure itself is strong and sound you can pretty much have whichever roof style you prefer. We have used lead, tiles, cedar overlap, and even an almost flat roof where it is being used for a living roof log store. Check out the gallery at Woodstores website.

Our newest log store
This wood store is 6ft high at the Apex (180cm), 125cm wide in the body and 132cm at the roof, and 68cm deep. It has lead flashing with a scallop design on the roof, and a waterproof membrane underneath. Everything is hand made by us, and delivered fully constructed and ready to use.
For this design in a bespoke size please contact sadie@woodstores.co.uk
The roof is made from overlapped slats. We deliver this fully treated and constructed ready to use, and you can store around 1.3 cubic mtrs of logs in it.

Colours for your log store
It is fair to say that most of the log stores in our gallery on the website are Blackfriars light brown. The variations in how they look are I think due to what time of year and what time of day they are taken.
These are pretty close to the actual colour, but, as screen monitors can make colours look different, it may not be shown to you as exactly the same colour!

There are other colours available in different makes, for example Sadolin Classic. I would say that most colour charts usually show the
colours as darker than they actually come out, but Sadolin is a nice oil stain so
the wood grain still shows. You can see the colour chart here, and you can
request a sample pot from them to check a colour out (it says allow up to 4
weeks but they are much quicker than that).

Garden Seat
The new Apex log store has been adapted! We have had two orders where they want a seat added, to use as a sort of Arbour garden seating! They can probably use it to store logs in the winter too, and I suspect it might be a nice seat for smokers with a bit of shelter :) Photos to come, we are still busy making them! They will be like this one but with a wooden seat put in.

Living Roof Wood Stores
We have been very busy making wood stores,
many being bespoke, and have delivered them to some very beautiful
places. And it hasn't been just log stores that we have been busy with, for example this pretty log store
with a living roof!
I suggested to another customer who had already bought a log store from
us and wanted a bin store to match, that perhaps we could put a living
roof on. This is the end result, and as you can see she has made it look
beautiful.
Of course this could also be used as a log store, or even for general garden storage.
